Botox Treatment

Botox is used to remove the signs of aging. This is achieved by paralyzing the muscles. This causes the lines in the skin caused by the movement to disappear.

About the Botox Treatment

The most well-known wrinkle treatment is the treatment using botulinum toxin (better known as “botox”) injections. Botox treatments have been performed since 1989 and have been extensively researched for effectiveness and safety. This makes a botulinum toxin treatment one of the safest cosmetic treatments. The three main problem areas that can be treated with botulinum toxin are: the frown, the forehead and the crow’s feet.

An average treatment with botulinum toxin lasts approximately 4 months. The duration can increase to 6 months if you perform the treatment more often and structurally. To achieve this and keep the Botox treatment affordable, we have a reduced rate for people who regularly come every four months.

Botox every 4 months: €80 per zone

Botox works best if you repeat it every 4 months. To make this affordable, we offer a 4-month rate. The discount prices only apply if the treatment is strictly repeated every 4 months. The starting treatment has the regular prices of €100 per zone. The second strict treatment four months later is €90 per zone. From then on, €80 per zone applies as long as you continue to repeat this according to the schedule.

The regular price for a Botox treatment is €100 per zone.  This price applies to patients who do not follow a schedule, but repeat the treatment every now and then. A combination discount does apply: €180 euros for 2 zones and €260 euros for 3 zones.

How it works

The frown treatment reduces the vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows. The injection relaxes the three muscles you use to look angry. After the treatment you can no longer look angry and the lines will slowly diminish.

The forehead treatment reduces the horizontal wrinkles across the forehead. The injection relaxes the two muscles you use to look surprised. After the treatment you can no longer look surprised and the lines will slowly diminish.

The crow’s feet treatment reduces the wrinkles next to the eyes. The injection relaxes the circular muscle next to the eye that you use to close your eyes. After the treatment you can still close your eyes normally, but the lines will slowly diminish.

The bunny lines treatment reduces the wrinkles on the side of the nose. The injection relaxes the muscle in the nose that you use to wrinkle your nose like a rabbit. After the treatment you can wrinkle your nose to a limited extent and the lines will slowly diminish.

The smoker’s lines treatment reduces the small vertical lines in and above the upper lip. The injection relaxes the mouth muscle that you use to pucker your lip. After the treatment you can pucker your lip to a limited extent and the lines will slowly diminish.

Botox for teeth grinding works by weakening the chewing muscles. This reduces the force of grinding and helps relieve pain and protect the teeth. The treatment relaxes the muscles without completely disabling them, preserving normal functions such as chewing.

Botox for hyperhidrosis works by blocking the sweat glands, reducing excessive sweating in areas such as armpits, hands or feet. The injection temporarily blocks the nerve signals that activate the sweat glands, leading to a significant reduction in sweating.

Frequently asked questions about Botox

Botox is a brand name for botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin that reduces muscle activity. It is injected into the muscles, where it temporarily blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles. This relaxes the muscles and reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

When Botox is administered correctly by an experienced practitioner, the results look natural. The goal is to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, without losing full expression of the face.

Most people experience minimal pain. The injections are administered with very thin needles, and the treatment takes only a few minutes. If necessary, a numbing cream can be used to reduce discomfort.

The effects of Botox usually become visible within 3 to 7 days after treatment. The full effect is usually achieved after about two weeks.

The results of Botox treatment usually last 3 to 6 months, depending on the person and area treated. Over time, the muscles begin to function again, allowing wrinkles to return.

Side effects are rare but may include swelling, redness, bruising at the injection sites, and temporary muscle weakness. In very rare cases, headaches or drooping eyelids may occur. These effects are usually temporary.

The cost of Botox treatment varies depending on the number of units needed and the area treated. On average, a session costs between €80 and €100 per zone. Click here for the price list.
