PlexR

PlexR is a non-invasive treatment that removes excess skin and reduces wrinkles using plasma energy. This technique heats the skin in a controlled manner without cutting, making recovery faster than traditional surgery. PlexR is often used for eyelid correction and reducing fine lines.

About the PlexR Treatment

PlexR (Plasma Exeresis) is a patented technology that uses plasma energy. Plasma is the fourth state of matter (besides solid, liquid and gas), in which charged particles release energy. During the treatment, the PlexR device creates a small plasma cloud.

During the treatment, the skin is touched with this plasma cloud, which causes the skin fibers to contract. A treatment with the Plexr consists of a series of these touches, allowing you to work with precision on certain problem areas. The Plexr enables the doctor to perform targeted lifts and restore certain facial areas to their shape.

SKIN SUBLIMATION

During a Plexr treatment, the skin is treated with the so-called Plasma Exeresis. Without direct contact with the skin, a small arc of charged plasma is created that touches the skin point by point. In this way, the top layer of the skin is precisely sublimated (evaporated). The effect of this sublimation can be seen as small scabs in the treated area. These scabs fall off the skin after approximately 5-7 days.

Treatment areas

Tightening of sagging eyelids, also known as non-surgical blepharoplasty.

Treating fine lines and deeper wrinkles, especially around the eyes and mouth.

Reducing scars, such as acne or surgical scars.

Treatment of hyperpigmentation, age spots or other skin discolorations.

Tightening of the skin on various parts of the face and body, such as the neck or jawline.

Removal of benign spots such as fibroids.

Benefits of PlexR

  • No surgery: There is no cutting or suturing, which significantly reduces risks and recovery time.
  • Fast recovery time: Most people can resume normal activities within a few days.
  • Long-lasting effect: The results are long-lasting and can last for years, depending on skin care and lifestyle.
  • Natural result: Because the treatment stimulates the skin's natural recovery process, the results remain subtle and natural.

After Treatment: What to Expect

After treatment, mild swelling and redness may occur, especially in sensitive areas such as around the eyes. This usually disappears within a few days. The small scabs that form after the treatment fall off within a week, after which the new, tighter skin becomes visible.

It is important to protect the skin against sunlight after treatment and to avoid irritating products until the skin has fully recovered. Using sunscreen with a high SPF is essential to prevent pigmentation problems.

Do you have a question?

Frequently asked questions about the PlexR

Yes, PlexR has a very shallow effect, mainly on the top layer of the epidermis. Due to the proven very limited energy penetration depth on the skin, Plexr is the only plasma device that can be safely applied to patients with a pacemaker, stents or other form of body implants. Moreover, Plexr is the only plasma device that is used by ophthalmologists for procedures on the naked eye.

Yes, it is possible to combine the injection of fillers or Botox with a Plexr treatment in the same session, even on the areas where injections are made. In some cases, the combination with certain skin boosters is also recommended.

Local swelling occurs after treatment. It is advisable to cool the skin areas immediately after the treatment to suppress swelling. The swelling is most pronounced in the morning after treatment. The degree of swelling depends on the intensity of the treatment and the patient’s tendency to swell. The swelling disappears quickly, usually after 3 days. The end result of the procedure will be optimally visible after 2-3 months.

1-2 days after treatment, scabs appear that should not be scraped off or wet. These fall off after 5-7 days. The skin is then usually pink in color for 2-3 weeks.

The number of sessions depends on the degree of the complaint of the skin area to be treated, the intensity of the treatment and the ability of the skin to heal. Depending on the desired result, several treatments may be necessary, although practice shows that in most cases 1 to 2 treatments may be sufficient. The repeat treatment can take place approximately 6-8 weeks after the first treatment.

With the numbing cream, the treatment is generally only slightly painful.  All treatments with the Plexr® can be performed without injection anesthesia.

Contraindication for PlexR:
